I have been a Dental Hygienist and oral health coach for over thirty years. I am an orofacial myofunctional therapist and a Mom to a beautiful daughter.

When we take a step back and see the body as a whole, we can often see how many ailments actually stem from one source, the mouth.

The window into our body.​

As a child I was given tetracycline an antibiotic which stained my teeth. Kids made fun of me and asked if I owned a toothbrush and knew how to use it. This effected my self esteem to the point I did not smile because I did not want to be made fun of. I went into this field to make a difference.

When we remember that the body is connected, we can find answers to many problems like snoring, ADHD, picky eating, dental issues, chapped lips, sleep issues, speech impediments and so much more from an unexpected source, our mouth.

Dental disease is silent and chronic inflammation in the mouth has an effect on our overall health and wellness.

Throughout my career, I have always been passionate about the little-known link between our oral health and overall health.

After learning about myofunctional disorders and the wide-reaching effects they have on the body, I knew I needed to take the leap from traditional dentistry to a more holistic and functional approach.
